However, every so often we happen upon a product which is designed to help ALL skin types, making it the real MVP of skincare! Today, we’re rolling out five of our favourite “suitable for all skin types” products to show you that sometimes, it’s okay to deviate from skin-specific products.
Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant
There are some exfoliators which are simply too harsh to use on ageing skin, while others aren’t abrasive enough to cope with dry, flaky skin. This cream exfoliant from Dermalogica contains a multi-part complex of Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Sulphur and fruit enzymes designed to detach dead skin debris and promote cell renewal for a smooth complexion. As well as sloughing away dead skin, it also reduces sensitivity and redness by using lavender, aloe vera and coneflower.
Decleor Refreshing Eye Make-up Remover
Have you ever wondered what the technical name was for a product which has two distinct liquids in one bottle? Well, in this case it’s a “bi-phase cleanser”, which basically means that it uses both water and oil to do two different jobs. The camellia oil tackles the harder-to-remove waterproof products, while the cornflower water soothes and refreshes the face, ready for toning. It’s a highly effective combination and is fine to use on any and all skin types.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
This cleansing balm works quite unlike any other cleanser in that it goes on the skin and dissolves any make-up and grime. Sumptuous rose and mimosa waxes are saturated with nourishing elderberry, starflower and optimega oils and supercharged with anti-ageing algae. It can be smoothed over the face and decolletage and swept away with a cotton pad, or left on the skin for longer as a treatment mask.
Dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream
Not only does this hydrating cream deeply nourish the skin, leaving it feeling smooth and hydrated, it also smells breathtakingly good! The cream is infused with oils of green tea, lavender, tea tree, chamomile, sandalwood, orange, clary sage, patchouli and rosemary – quite the olfactory combination! It’s a lightweight cream which can be used on all skin types but contains natural humectants which help to hydrate even the driest skin conditions.
Decleor Hydra-Radiance Cleansing Mousse
Decleor has managed to create a product with this mousse which both cleanses the skin and helps to restore radiance. It will deeply cleanse whilst polishing and perfecting the skin, leaving the face looking bright and refreshed. Even the dullest skin will be improved with regular use and it, like all of the other products in this list, can be used on all skin types.
