Introducing the new Invisible Physical Defence SPF30 from Dermalogica, a physical sunscreen for all skin tones! We caught up with Dermalogica’s Education Executive  Victoria Schofield to find out more.

Now you see it. Now you don’t!

Chances are if you’ve used a physical (chemical free) sunscreen you’ve experienced the white cast they leave on the skin. We’ve worked hard to create a physical SPF formula that blends on all skin tones using ultra- sheer Zinc Oxide. The new Invisible Physical Defence SPF30 offers weightless defence for all skin types and skin conditions, including sensitive.

Chemical vs. physical sunscreens

Some people find their skin doesn’t tolerate chemical sunscreens but it’s worth noting that they are not bad for the skin. Chemical and physical SPF’s just work in different ways. A chemical sunscreen works by converting and scattering UV radiation into heat. This doesn’t cause a problem for many skins but people with sensitive skin may have an issue with this. Physical sunscreens work by creating a barrier that prevents UV rays from hitting the skin at all. Physical sunscreens are better for sensitive skin but traditionally can be hard to blend, leaving a white cast on the skin.

2 x more transparent than a leading competitor

Our studies show Dermalogica Invisible Physical Defence SPF30 is 2 times more transparent than a leading competitor physical sunscreen. We use ultra-sheer Zinc Oxide to ensure the product visibly disappears on all skin tones and Zinc Oxide offers broad spectrum defence from damaging UVA, UVB and blue light. We’ve also included antioxidant Matcha Green Tea along with hydrating Hyaluronic Acid and a soothing Bioactive Mushroom Complex. To use, dispense a generous amount, applying to your face and neck after moisturising and blend. And remember to reapply regularly if you’re out in the sun for an extended period of time.
