For many of us our eyes are a key area of concern when we consider how we look and feel about ourselves. We all communicate directly with our eyes and we convey all manner of inner thoughts and feelings through them. It is therefore no surprise that some people worry about their eyes and how they appear to others.

The main concerns that people tend to express regarding their eyes are Lines and Dark Circles and whilst they are difficult to deal with there are many things that can help.

One of the most important weapons in dealing with these problems is a good Skin Care Routine.

Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise everyday – morning and evening.

Once this is in place it is then important to introduce a good eye cream to help look after the skin around the eye area. It should be remembered that this is a very delicate area of skin and unless specifically designed to do so, you should avoid using your moisturiser on these areas. The ingredients in facial moisturisers are generally too strong to be used around your eyes.

There are many eye creams on the market but we would recommend the following from our Dermalogica and Decleor Range of products.

A good all-round product would be the MultiVitamin Power Firm from Dermalogica which is part of the AGE Smart range. It is suitable for all skin types and should be used twice a day.

There are several eye creams that will help deal with the Lines and Dark Circles such as Age Reversal Eye Complex and Intensive Eye Repair, both from Dermalogica and Anti-Dark Circle Multi-Brightening Eye Care and Lift and Brighten Eye Cream both from Decleor.

Looking after the skin around your eyes is very important and incorporating an eye cream into your regime, as well as a good night’s sleep, will certainly help.
