Taking your makeup off

We all know that taking our makeup off at the end of the day is an absolute must. Apart from the fact that nobody wants to wake up to panda eyes and a pillow smeared with mascara and foundation, leaving your makeup on can have long lasting and negative effects on the skin.
Whilst leaving your makeup on occasionally after a late night can be forgiven, it’s important that you don’t make a habit of it!

Leaving makeup on whilst you sleep is one of the prime suspects for causing spots and blemishes. In order to look its best, skin needs to breathe- and leaving your war paint on overnight doesn’t allow this.

It’s not only your foundation and powder that needs to be taken off- it all has to go! In fact, leaving eye makeup on overnight has been known to cause nasty eye infections- which are not only painful, but also extremely unsightly!

Use a gentle but effective cleanser such as Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel– which is fantastic for all skin types. For those who wear stubborn eye makeup, Dermalogica’s Soothing Eye Makeup Remover is a great way of effectively removing it without irritating the delicate eye area.

So, before you reach for that bedtime book and mug of cocoa, make sure that every trace of the days slap is well and truly washed away.
