Dermalogica Phyto-Nature Firming Serum Pump Issues

We have been made aware by Dermalogica that some customers maybe experiencing issues with the pump of the Dermalogica Phyto-Nature Firming Serum. Here is advice provided to us by Dermalogica regarding the issue:

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties dispensing the dual-phase formula of the Phyto-Nature Firming Serum.

Due to the dual pump component required for the Phyto-Nature Firming Serum, during the first use of the product, the two formulas may not dispense at the same time for several pump strokes. This is typical, as each formula has its own pump mechanism, but they share an actuator (button). We recommend that the product should dispense both formulas within ten (10) pumps. Please be aware that the difference in each side dispensing could be between three to six (3-6) strokes during first product use.

Due to the individual dispensing mechanisms sharing one button, finger placement on the button can affect whether, or not, the two formulas dispense evenly. There is a ribbed section of the button. It is important that you press the button on the ribbed section, as centered as possible to ensure both formulas are evenly dispensed. If the button is pressed outside of the ribbed area, the products may not dispense evenly. This could be one formula dispensing and one not or one formula being used up before the other.

As a reminder, the instructions for dispensing use are:

  1. Hold the bottle at an angle
  2. Dispense 1-2 pumps into the palm of your hand
  3. Blend the two serums and smooth over cleansed face and neck.

If the advice provided by Dermalogica doesn’t help with your product and you have purchased the product from us please let us know and we will assist with a Return and Replacement as soon as possible.

  1. Hi , my Phyto-Nature Firming Serum was a gift from my daughters and it was purchased from the dermalogica stand in the Westfield White city shopping mall . I live in the Cotswolds and I could not return it to this shop as it is two hours drive away . I cannot get any serum out . The pump does not work and only worked once . After that I have been trying everything – looking at You tube to try and solve this problem . Please could you tell me what yo do as it was a very expensive gift and we are all so disappointed. I tried the suggestion above and it did not work –
