Cleansing shouldn’t make skin feel suffocated

Cleansing is an essential part of any skin care regime, although you do need to ensure that you are using the correct cleanser for your skin’s individual needs.

A good cleanser should cleanse deep into the pores and help to keep spots and blemishes at bay. However, whilst your cleanser may be helping you to keep your skin looking clear, there are some tell-tale signs which you should look out for which could suggest that the cleanser which you’re using isn’t 100% suitable for your skin.

One of the most noticeable and common after-cleansing effects which could mean that the wrong product is being used is skin tightness. If your skin feels particularly dry and tight after cleansing, there is a possibility that your cleanser is far too harsh.

Whilst cleansing is essential for clearing excess oils from the skin, your product shouldn’t strip your skin of essential oils and leave it feeling dehydrated.

Nowadays, there are many different cleansers on the market which cater to just about every skin type. Whilst this is great for allowing you to choose the perfect product for your skin, it can also make the purchase process a little confusing.

Dermalogica has a great variety of cleansers which are suitable for a range of different skin types– from dry to prematurely aging to oily- and this had made them the cleansers of choice for so many skin-conscious individuals.
