Don’t accessorise your stylish summer sandals with dry skin

You know that summer has well and truly arrived when you slip into those new summer sandals for the first time. Many of us snap up sandals when spring/summer fashions first start to appear- although it’s often many months down the line before we actually get to wear them!

For the vast majority of the UK though, summer is most definitely now here, so there’s no time like the present to show off your fashionable new footwear before the rain and cooler conditions start to set in again!

One thing that can seriously ruin the look of even the most expensive summer sandals though is dry skin on the feet. Dry feet are extremely common- which is no surprise really as feet spend a large proportion of the year hidden away under thick socks and tights.

Thankfully, if dry skin is playing havoc with your summer sandal plans, it’s very easy to rectify the situation once you’ve armed yourself with suitable products.

When you’re in the bath or shower, exfoliate feet with a product like Dermalogica Ultimate Buffing Cloth– which gently but effectively gets rid of rough skin. If the skin on your feet is particularly hard and dry though, you might also need to reach for a pumice stone.

Once you’ve dried your feet off, help to get them silky soft by applying an intensive moisturiser such as Dermalogica Ultra Rich Body Cream– which will really hydrate feet without making them feel greasy.

Treat your feet and get your money’s worth out of your sandals this summer.
