Many of our Dermalogica and Decleor favourites are jam-packed with essential oils, making the products smell amazing and feel luxurious. However, these oils are so much more than a pleasant smell and are often a powerful ally against a number of skin problems. Here’s a selection of our favourite products from both brands which are rich in essential oils:
This exfoliating scrub from the men’s range combines eucalyptus and oil of clove to cleanse the skin and prepare it for shaving. It also adds a layer of protection which will help the razor to glide over the skin and minimise drag, which will prevent you from developing an unsightly shaving rash or dryness.
Dermalogica Conditioning Body Wash
This body wash from Dermalogica has no less than 8 different essential oils, including Tea Tree, Lemon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary to purify and invigorate the skin and provide soap-free cleansing which won’t strip the skin of its own sebum. This product can be used as a body wash or added to a warm bath to help soothe tense muscles and relax the mind.
Decleor Double Radiance Cream contains some of our most exotic essential oils, such as elemi essential oil, which activates the micro-circulation, and saro essential oil, which is a plant prebiotic. The double formulation enhances the brightness of the skin, adding radiance and treating both the surface and the inner layers of the skin.
Dermalogica Environmental Control Deodorant
People often neglect their armpits and forget that the skin can be very sensitive in these areas. That’s why Dermalogica Environmental Control Deodorant is such a great product; it combines Coriander, Parsley, Clove and Hyssop to neutralise odour as well as Cananga Odorata Flower (Ylang Ylang), Lavender, Eucalyptus Leaf, Lemon Peel, Rosemary Leaf and Tea Tree Leaf Oils which control the bacteria which creates body odour, stopping it in its tracks before it has the chance to make you whiffy!
Decleor Expert Dark Spot Corrector
One of the most common signs of aging is dark spots on the skin, known as hyperpigmentation, and although you can try to cover them with make-up, Decleor Expert Dark Spot Corrector will target the areas with Roman Chamomile Essential Oil to greatly reduce the dark spots and prevent new ones from forming. The lotion has a super-fine texture and uses papaya extract to fade surface pigmentation and restore the skin to its former glory.
