The importance of moisturising your skin after a hot bath

There’s nothing like a nice hot bath to soothe away the stresses of the day and give your skin a thorough cleanse- particularly in colder weather.

However, if you prefer taking long baths rather than quick showers, after time your skin can start to get seriously dehydrated. If you don’t moisturise sufficiently after every bath it’s only a matter of time before dry skin will start to rear its ugly head. Staying in the bath for a long period of time can strip the skin of its essential oils- which is the main culprit in causing dry skin.

Fear not though, as there is no reason why you need to give up on your much loved soak in the bath, provided you slap on the moisturiser as soon as you’ve dried yourself off.

Using a rich moisturiser, such as Dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream, will help to restore moisture and keep skin feeling soft and supple throughout the day.

After applying this fantastic moisturiser, your skin will feel as soft as silk- so you can lie back and enjoy a long relaxing bath after a hectic day in the office.
